Community amenities
​Land planning for both single and multifamily residential developments can be provided by MDG. Todd Melonçon begins conceptual planning with a thorough site analysis to evaluate site conditions and restraints. Using experience from working for Civil Engineers Todd not only prepared conceptual land plans but also construction documents including street plan and profiles, grading, drainage facilities, wet pond design, underground utilities and municipal approval. This experience allows MDG to provide conceptual and preliminary plans that not only work but also reduce construction cost by utilizing the land's natural character to equalize cut and fill and reduce the need for elaborate drainage facilities.
MDG collaborates closely with developers, architects, and engineers as well as city and county authorities to provide Planning and Landscape Architectural services. Relying upon Todd Meloncon's strong background in central Texas design and landscaping, he creates plans that not only meet requirements but enhance both the aesthetics and value of each development. He is committed to exceeding the needs each client by providing detailed, creative and cost efficient solutions.
MDG provides subdivision entry design and construction documents for single family and multifamily developments. A design begins by evaluating the site's location, preparing conceptual plans, design development and construction documents. Thorough construction detailing of all proposed elements give the client comprehensive plans for bidding and construction. MDG prides itself on staying with a project through completion.
Design for community amenities is an integral part of residential development. As such, Todd Melonçon carefully assesses the project and client's expectations to determine the types of amenities that will be most appropriate for the target group. Commercial landscape
MDG provides commercial landscaping as well as design development and construction documents for hardscape elements that improve and invite public use. MDG utilizes native and naturalize plant material to reduce maintenance and irrigation cost while maintaining the character of central Texas.
J. Todd Melonçon, RLA, has worked as a project manager for civil engineers where he obtained extensive knowledge in the field civil engineering and site development permitting. This knowledge allows MDG to fully understand the civil drawings that are used in preparing landscape permit plans. MDG has prepared landscape permit and irrigation plans for commercial developments throughout Texas. With a thorough knowledge of city code requirements in all central Texas cities as well as Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and many others MDG is able to get permits quickly and efficiently.
